This adorable smiley baby girl from China was adopted by a kindhearted family in the US, and her transformation has been incredible!
A couple from Ohio, Becca and Dan, who already had two kids, made the decision to extend their family to five in 2015.
After paying adoption fees of $30,000, the pair made their way to China to adopt an adorable 2-year-old girl from the Guizhou Welfare Institute who they named Selah!
Selah was first found abandoned outside a hospital at six months old, and she was very ill.
When the new parents-to-be first met Selah, she was extremely shy and couldn’t understand English.
But after a few days, she slowly picked up a few words, like thank you, mummy and daddy, and Becca and Dan brought her back to the United States.
Now the adorable youngster is fully settled into her new life in the U.S, and has picked up swimming, gymnastics and ballet!
She travels everywhere with her new family!
“Selah came to us a sick, small, scared little girl and has transformed into a spunky, friendly, talkative, energetic little girl who never stops talking,” Becca and Dan wrote on their blog, Bringing Home a Blessing.
“We already love her so much. She is incredibly smart, funny, and loving,” they added.
Selah loves “macaroni and cheese, animal crackers, waffles, ice cream, showing off her painted toenails, sunglasses, her baby dolls, singing, laughing at her brothers, baths, the water table, swinging on the swing set, Calliou (ugh), and brushing her teeth,” they continued.
Selah’s new parents gave her the sweetest third birthday celebration ever—since they missed her first two birthdays, they made a cake with all three candles!
“To make up for the first two birthdays we missed, we had a “1, 2, 3” birthday party to celebrate all three of her birthdays,” Becca and Dan wrote.
She looks so happy now and her smile melts our hearts. We are truly happy to see her living a good life in the USA!
