While most of us would discard the pit inside the avocado without a second thought, an artist from Ireland discovered her life’s true passion while cutting into a perfectly ripe avocado at lunchtime. Jan Campbell was struck by the beauty of the pit inside and decided to keep it like a secret pet. She knew that there was a hidden potential in the pit. After weeks of pondering, a deeply pigmented surface scratch inspired her to carve away its layers until a beautiful piece of art emerged.
