Bees are extremely intelligent creatures and they are often feared by people because of their ability to sting. These flying insects are known for being great pollinators and making honey and beeswax.

Beekeeper Emily Mueller loves these little creatures and has been fond of them ever since her father bought a honeycomb when she was a child. She and her husband Ryan, run a family business they founded called ‘Mueller Honey Bee Removal’

When Emily Mueller became pregnant in August 2017, she decided to do a photo shoot involving the two treasures in her life, bees and her baby. She found a way to incorporate her two passions by posing with a swarm of bees while showing her baby bump

Emily had suffered from several miscarriages in the past but was confident in this pregnancy because there were no complications so far. She contacted a photographer named Kendrah Damis to do the unusual maternity photo shoot.

When it came time for the photo shoot, Emily sat on the grass and pushed a swarm of bees onto her belly. The results were simply amazing. Emily truly looked at ease being surrounded by no less than 20,000 bees. Her photos spread like wildfire on social media and Emily became an instant sensation.

The pictures show Emily donned in a dainty white dress and posing outdoors.

It would have looked like a run-of-the-mill maternity photo shoot if it wasn’t for the hundreds of bees all over her stomach

Emily was extra careful and made sure the bees were well fed before letting them lose so that they will be less excited and will be less likely to sting her. In order to draw the bees towards her belly, she took a queen bee and put it in a container and held it in her hand.

She also consulted her doctor beforehand to make sure this photo shoot will not pose a risk to her baby.

Emily’s photo shoot with the bees had passed and the couple went back to their daily routine. They also started preparing for the baby’s arrival by setting up the nursery and sorting out all the clothes.

In November Emily Mueller received devastating news, her baby did not survive. He was born premature and without a heartbeat.

“Jesus decided that he needs his little guards and took our precious son, Emersyn Jacob, back to heaven with him,” wrote Emily on Facebook

It was a Thursday when Emily felt a weird sensation while she was taking care of her three other children. She hadn’t noticed any movement from the baby she was carrying and felt that it was strange because the baby was usually quite active. She couldn’t feel any kicks or motion coming from the baby within her womb.

“By evening I began to realize I had not felt baby move much and had contractions that felt different than any I have had before,” she wrote. “I just told myself he was sleeping but as the time passed, I felt uneasy about it.” They started to fear the worst and she had asked Ryan to try and listen for a heartbeat but he couldn’t be sure.

“We agreed if I didn’t feel a kick by morning, we would go to the hospital”

Many women tend to become more high strung and anxious when they are pregnant, which is understandable because they are carrying the life of another human being within them. Emily could not get rid of the uneasy feeling she had since she noticed her baby’s lack of movement. They went to the hospital and hoped that they were just being paranoid.

“I really thought we’d be sent home with a smile and doctors saying that we should be ready for Emersyn’s arrival in six days,” Emily said.

She was prepped for an ultrasound and as the nurse was searching for a heartbeat, Emily and her husband’s hopes dwindled. The nurse couldn’t locate a heartbeat and immediately called for a doctor.

“I remember her presence, the way she took the gel from the nurse’s hand, the ultrasound. Every detail from that day is deeply ingrained in my mind and i can’t stop repeating it,” Emily said.

“Our baby has died. Our baby will never come home with us,” she wrote. The cause of the baby’s death was not known. When Emily gave birth to her precious child, there was nothing they could do to bring him back to life.

“This wonderful rainbow baby we were blessed with has now become a storm in our lives”

“Finding out your baby died is unfathomable. Learning you have to be induced and deliver your deceased child is way beyond that. My heart instantly ached for any woman that has told me she had a stillborn.” said Emily

Thousands of people have sent them words of condolence and support for the family’s loss.

Emily found tremendous comfort and strength in their messages and that has helped her slowly recover from the loss of her child

She posted her story online so women who have gone through similar trauma can find comfort in seeing they are not alone.

Emily said “You could not deny he was loved by so many people and we continue to see this through the out pour of love and support you all are providing. Just knowing people are thinking about us and hurting with us relieves so much of our own pain.”

Our deepest condolences go out to Emily and her family and here’s in hope they will recover from this tragedy.
