Like other new parents-to-be, Brenda Coelho de Souza, 24, could not wait for the day when she could finally meet her newborn. After hours being in labour, Brenda safely delivered her baby daughter, Agata Ribeiro Coelho, through a caesarian section.
Soon after her birth, the nurse placed little Agata next to Brenda’s face. Seconds later, Agata clung to her mother’s face tightly as if she had been anticipating their first meeting for so long!
In the short video, the newborn baby girl can be seen squeezing onto her mother’s face soon after the nurse places her next to Brenda.

With her eyes shut and her still wrapped in a green blanket, Agata embraces her mother
Brenda, who works as an administrative assistant said: “It was an incredible moment when my daughter hugged me for the first time.”
“The medical team were great and were all really surprised that she acted this way, they couldn’t believe how affectionate she was with me.”
Agata is already a healthy three-month-old baby now and bears a lot of resemblance to her mother!
