Philippines’ beauty queen Catriona Gray who made the nation proud last December after being crowned as Miss Universe 2018 shared her thoughts on the three things that will make Filipinos proud.
In an interview with Bloomberg Asia, Gray who beat contestants from 93 other countries in the prestigious beauty pageant shared what she thought would instantly grab a Filipino’s attention.
“That’s what the nation pours into with pride, with everything, their attention, everything stops when there’s a big game, a big fight or a big pageant on,” she told Bloomberg.

Miss Gray also shared her feelings when she saw a big crowd of Filipinos when she was crowned as Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok last year.

“I felt like almost half the audience were Filipino,” she laughed as she was moved by how supportive the Filipinos were on her big day

In the interview, she also shared her thoughts on how she wanted the world to know that beauty queen is more than just a title.
“We do an extraordinary job and have an amazing platform but underneath all that, we are normal people and we can be approached and you can come and talk to us,” she said

Miss Gray is currently on media tours in the US where she appears in various talk shows such as “Live With Ryan and Kelly” and “Good Morning America”.
