Richard Gere has become a father again at the age of 70.
The Pretty Woman star and his wife, Alejandra Silva have welcomed a healthy baby boy on February 11. A representative for the couple has confirmed the news with CNN last Monday.
The baby is their first child together. Both Gere and Silva have children from their previous relationships

Gere has a 19-year-old son from his previous marriage with actress Carey Lowell while Silva has a son with her former husband, Govin Friedland.
Last year, Silva announced their pregnancy on Instagram in September last year after she posted a photograph of herself with Gere seeking blessings from Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama.
The photo showed Dalai Lama placing his hand on Silva’s stomach as Gere standing by her side
However, the post has been deleted.
Nevertheless, Silva has been public about the pregnancy as she has been documenting it on her Instagram account

“Receiving a blessing from our precious soon to come… we couldn’t announce it before telling His Holiness the Dalai Lama,” the post read.
Gere married Silva who works as a publicist after a four-year relationship. The couple tied the knot in early in 2018 in a civil ceremony in Madrid

Gere was also married to supermodel Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995.
