If you’ve been looking high and low for foolproof methods to lose weight, look no more.
Or look through Amazon and search for the Pavlok bracelet.

The wrist band is designed to break down your bad habits by buzzing you with some electric shock. We kid you not.
You can be a dedicated potato chips eater or an avid nail biter, but make sure you stay within limits.

Once you’ve crossed the border, the band gets a signal and zaps some 350 volt electric current to remind you that you need to stop whatever it is you’re doing.
Ladbible published the manufacturer’s statement and here is what they have to say about the buzzing bracelet:
“Pavlok allows you to speak your reptile brain’s language by adding an unpleasant element (a safe and harmless ‘zap’ of electricity on your wrist) to what you have been taught to love (your nasty lingering habit), quickly conditioning your mind to associate an ‘unpleasant’ feeling with your bad habit… and stopping it all together.”
The nifty band is priced at $199 and comes with 150 shocks per charge. You might not want to take it lightly because the feeling it gives you is similar to ‘touching a doorknob after rubbing your socks on the carpet‘.

The (not so) fun part is that your friends can download an app that allows them to manually send a shock whenever you’re misbehaving. Our advice? Better to have a unanimous agreement if you want to avoid breach of trust among friends.
Since its release, the product has received mixed reviews from users. One person commented that the wrist band is a little awkward but its function is indeed effective as it has close contact to your skin.
“I’m glad I bought it, so far I believe it is working. It’s not going to cure a lifelong issue in a few days so you have to stick to their plan and really work on it,” wrote another user.
