For people who have become parents, it is very important to instill in our children that they can achieve their dreams even from a very young age. Therefore, we must teach them to believe in themselves and in their ability to achieve whatever goals they set in life.

This is the story of Francisco, an 11-year-old boy, who hails from the City of Concordia, Argentina. From an early age, he dreamed to own a tractor and following in his father’s footsteps as a farmer.

Francisco’s parents, Laura and Christian, owned a small area of land. One day, the boy told them that he wanted to grow watermelons to earn money and fulfill his dream of owning a tractor.

“He would get up at five in the morning to go to the fields, and he never stopped studying. He loves the land and is very hardworking,” said Laura, Francisco’s mother.

Although it would take a considerable sacrifice to achieve his mission, the boy dedicated so much time to his work.

“Even though it was a big sacrifice for him, he did it with love, and God helped us to get a good harvest, despite the drought and weather. He got good results. We planted a little, one and a half acres,” added Laura.

Francisco grows his own watermelons and does most of the work himself, supervised only by his proud father, Christian. Due to the severe drought, the boy waters his plants at dawn. This procedure is done at clockwork twice a day, in the morning and evening.

According to his parents, this is a great achievement for Francisco, who feels very happy and satisfied, and he has also planned to plant watermelons in a wider area.

“My son is happy and wants more. He said that next year he would plant ten hectares. This year, because of the pandemic, we do it in the countryside. Besides this, he never stops doing his homework,” Laura proudly mentions.

Francisco’s story went viral on social media very quickly, showing us that, when something is wanted with earnestness and with heart, with hard work, tenacity, and a lot of dedication, all dreams, no matter how difficult it may seem for us, are possible to achieve.
