Beauty Pageants are always the center of attention every time an event is held. Spectators choose their favorite contestants and hope they win. Recently, on December 13, 2022, the 60th Miss International pageant was held at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. People around the world resorted to various streaming media to witness the breathtaking event.
With a total of 66 contestants from around the globe, they showcased various categories during the event. Such as evening gown, swimsuit category, and the ‘question and answer’ portion. They were soon narrowed down to the top 15 contestants, then the top 8, and finally, the top 5 contestants. After the grueling Q&A portion, the judges made their decisions. 22-year-old Jasmin Selberg from Germany won the title, besting Peru and Colombia.
Miss Germany, Jasmin Selberg, stood out and won against 65 other contestants. Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand, passed on the crown to the new winner, which was the highlight of the show. Additionally, Jasmin is the 3rd beauty contestant from Germany to win the title. The pageant’s theme for 2022 was “Sustainable Development Goals”, and Miss Germany has indeed performed very well.
Jasmin has a good stature, a slim figure, and a height of 1.78 m (5 ft 10 in). As a student, she had a double major in History and Philosophy at the University of California. She competed in various beauty competitions before winning the title of Miss International 2022, such as The Miss Globe 2021, Miss Supranational Germany 2022, and Miss Universe Germany 2022, and finished in the top 16.
In addition to English, Jasmin can speak fluent German, Estonian, and Korean. She serves as a translator for trade exhibitions and is also good at sales and marketing. She has founded an organization called Queens Raising Awareness, an establishment that leads individuals to have a better understanding of the relationship between humans and the environment.
Outside of the beauty pageant, where Jasmin is more comfortable being herself, the photos she shared on her social media are breathtaking. With her beauty and intellect combined, the title of Miss International that she won is well-deserved.
Jasmin wears a “Hanbok”, also called Chosŏn-ot, which is a traditional Korean clothing, in a photo she shared on Instagram.
In addition to news of Jasmin winning the crown, the beauty pageant winner is also causing talks around the Korean communities online since they discovered that she has a Korean boyfriend named Youngmin Park. She has posted photos of them together on her social media page, which caused a stir in South Korea. They have been in a relationship for almost 3 years, and their photos together instantly went viral. Local media call them “The Power Couple.”
Jasmin is an animal lover and paints during her free time. She is not only a head-turner but also a talented beauty.
