Many actors in Hollywood and elsewhere started in the industry as child actors and are still thriving in showbiz as of late. Most of them have not had any difficulty adjusting to the roles they auditioned for since the day they started, and they have moved on to much larger roles in films and television. Their fans have seen their favorite actors grow up in the business and seen them improve more in the roles they are playing.
Nick Robinson was born in Seattle, Washington. When he was 11, he made his acting debut with a role in a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’s novel, “A Christmas Carol.” Signing up with an agency, he continued to perform on stage around Seattle. However, it was his role as Zach Mitchell in “Jurassic World” that claimed him to fame.

Nick Robinson appeared in stage plays such as “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Mame” at age 12. At the time he was doing “A Christmas Carol,” he met a well-known Hollywood scout named Matt Casella. The talent scout was impressed by the young actor’s work on stage that he said with pride, “He is a real kid with amazing talents, not to mention, he is smart, good-natured, and has a beautiful smile. Nick can already go to Los Angeles.”

In 2010, at age 15, Nick starred in his first TV series, the ABC Family sitcom “Melissa & Joey,” playing the role of Ryder Scanlon, the nephew of Melissa Joan Hart’s character until the sitcom’s cancellation in 2015.

While on hiatus from “Melissa & Joey” in 2011, Nick starred in a movie alongside Bella Thorne and Zendaya entitled “Frenemies.” He played the role of Jake Logan, and the movie aired on Disney+ in 2012.

In 2012, Nick was cast in the role of Joe Toy, one of the main characters in the movie, “The Kings of Summer”. His interpretation of modern teenagers and their sensitivity, anger, and dissatisfaction was exemplary.

After starring in “Jurassic World”, he was nominated for Best Leading Young Actor (Feature Film) at the Young Entertainer Awards in 2015. The following year, he starred alongside Chloe Moretz in the sci-fi disaster film “The 5th Wave”, wherein he played Ben Parish, the best friend of Chloe’s character. At the time, Nick was 20 years old.

In 2018, Nick took a more challenging role in the film adaptation of the best-selling book “Love, Simon.” He played Simon Spier, a teenager who struggles to hide his homosexuality. Simon hesitated with his decision to come out. Nick’s performance of the character earned the audiences’ praise, and he was nominated for several awards in different awarding events, among which he has won in 4 of them.

Nick’s latest work is the 10-episode TV mini-series “Maid”. The show is currently streaming on NetFlix. For his role as Sean Boyd, an abusive ex-boyfriend and the father of her girlfriend’s daughter, Nick had to grow his hair long and sport a beard and mustache. This is Nick’s most challenging role to date and a breakthrough in his acting career!

At 28 years old, the boy from “Jurassic World” has grown to be a charming young man! With his long hair and handsome looks, some fans could not help but compare him to the eldest son of David Beckham, Brooklyn. For more photos of Nick Robinson, go to his Instagram page. Click HERE.
