A black Labrador and Mastiff mix named Eclipse has become quite a celebrity in a town in Seattle. She is very smart and could take a bus all by her lonesome to go to the park. “All the bus drivers know her. She sits here just like a person does,” fellow rider Tiona Rainwater said. “She makes everybody happy. How could you not love this face?”

It all began when Eclipse, together with her owner, Jeff Young, were waiting at the bus stop to go to the park. However, Jeff was taking too long to finish a cigarette. When the bus arrived, Eclipse got on the bus by herself and went to the park on her own. Her owner understood that he could catch up with her at the park later in the day. The smart pooch remembers to ride the D-line bus and arrive at the park after 3 to 4 stops.

Fortunately, King Country allows dogs on public transport to be without a leash, however, at the driver’s discretion. Although some officers suggest for dogs be on a leash when in public areas. This celebrity dog does not do any harm on the bus but only makes the passengers’ day brighter. Hence, the drivers are more than happy to give Eclipse a ride to the park every day.

Does Eclipse share the same vibe as the happy passengers? Go to her Facebook page and see how proud the dog is of her daily bus ride and a routine visit to the park. In her profile, it says, “I love my big city life and enjoy taking the D-line daily to the Belltown dog park.” What a smart doggie!
